Map of the resettlement of Ukrainian refugee children

Project for the Ukrainian publishing house Piznayko together with organization GIZ (giz.de). Map of the resettlement of refugee children in selected European countries. The map is a guide for the documentary film "Stories of Ukrainian Refugee Children". The size of poster is A3. The main map also contains a second map with global refugee numbers. To fit the second map harmoniously into the canvas it was proposed to place it under the main map in the form of a stylized real map, which is held by hands.
The map shows the movement of Ukrainian refugee children throughout Ukraine and Europe. The movement of these children was shown schematically using roads of varying contrast and color intensity, railway tracks and the path of an airplane. It should be interesting for audience to follow these movements along paths and compare them with the film.

Stylized characters were drawn for the map - based on the prototypes of real children from the film. The children's clothes also correspond to the real ones from the film.
Also, some architecturally significant places were drawn for the map. The task was to show them in a simplified, secondary way, without distracting attention.
Transport should also be shown in a simplified, non-distracting manner. Other elements such as mountains, trees, ships were created to fill the space and make the map more interesting to look at.
The map is offered on the website of the Piznayko publishing house.
Thanks for watching and liking!
